Building the Next Generation
At Womack and Sons, building the future means more than completing projects.
At Womack and Sons, building the future means more than completing projects. It also means investing in the next generation of construction professionals and helping young people discover opportunities in the industry.
We were excited to welcome Boyd Wilkes, a local high school senior, to our LA Tech Athletic Center project for a career shadowing opportunity with Project Manager Brad Boyd. As part of his school's career shadow program, Boyd spent the day gaining firsthand experience and learning more about the work that goes into managing a major construction project.
With plans to pursue a degree in Construction Management and build a career in the construction industry, Boyd is already taking steps toward his future. His visit provided an opportunity to see how classroom learning connects to real-world construction and to gain a better understanding of the skills, teamwork, and planning required to bring a project to life.
At Womack and Sons, we recognize the importance of encouraging young people to explore careers in construction. By sharing our knowledge and experience, we hope to help students see the many opportunities available in the industry and inspire them to become the next generation of builders, project managers, and construction leaders.
We are proud to have been part of Boyd's career exploration journey and look forward to seeing what he accomplishes in the years ahead.
Building tomorrow starts with investing in the people who will shape it. Keep building your future, Boyd!
